The Fox ESS H1-4. 6kW Hybrid Solar Inverter, is a single-phase hybrid inverter for solar generation, high-voltage battery storage, and emergency power for selected loads. A 4.6kW EPS output can be useful for essential home loads such as lights, fans, routers, security equipment, computers, refrigeration, and selected appliances. It should not be assumed that the inverter can start every pump, compressor, water heater, or air-conditioner simultaneously. Motor starting currents and surge loads need to be checked against the inverter’s backup characteristics. Good practice is to create a dedicated backup distribution board, separate critical circuits from discretionary loads, and label the system so that occupants understand what remains powered during an outage.
