The Fox ESS EP6 is a high-voltage LiFePO₄ storage module designed for residential and light-commercial solar systems. A single EP6 unit provides 5.76 kWh nominal energy. Up to four modules can be connected in parallel, giving a maximum system capacity of 23.04 kWh. This listing refers to that full four-module configuration.
Technical overview
Nominal voltage is 192 V with an operating range of approximately 174–219 V. Maximum continuous charge and discharge current is 30 A, with recommended charge current of 15 A. Round-trip efficiency is ≥95% and depth of discharge is 90%. The battery communicates with compatible Fox inverters over CAN.
The EP6 is rated IP65 and can be wall- or floor-mounted indoors or outdoors when clearances, drainage and temperature limits are observed. Operating temperature is typically 0–55 °C for charging and −10–55 °C for discharging; models with the optional warm-up function support wider low-temperature ranges. Dimensions are roughly 380 × 640 × 185 mm and weight is about 51 kg per module.
Compatibility and installation
EP6 modules are intended for Fox ESS hybrid and AC-coupled inverters in the H1, KH, H3, H3 PRO and related series. They must not be mixed with higher-voltage EP11/EP12 modules in the same string. Parallel expansion beyond one unit usually requires the Fox high-voltage junction box. Correct BMS communication, DC isolation, over-current protection and commissioning are essential.
In Pakistani installations the 23.04 kWh configuration suits larger homes, offices or small commercial sites that need meaningful evening and backup capacity. Actual runtime depends on load size, inverter power limit and the reserve SOC set during commissioning. Always confirm the exact module count, usable energy, warranty terms and approved inverter model before ordering.
